Owlthorpe Heritage & Nature Trail Interpretation Boards

At the completion of the Owlthorpe Heritage and Nature Trail it was decided to install five interpretation boards along the trail.
The wording on the boards and the artwork was designed by Roger Marsh. Sheffield City Council provided the map and did the printing and lamination. The framework was designed jointly between Roger Marsh and Keith & Liz Barraclough of K Barriers Ltd. The interpretation boards were manufactured by K Barriers Ltd.
The five interpretation boards were funded by Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre & Retail Park.
The boards were installed by Sheffield Countryside Conservation Trust in the following locations:
Moorhole Lane Trail Entrance
Owlthorpe Grassland Grazing Project
Moorhole Farm & Hanging Lea Wood
Ochre Dyke & Woodland Fringe
Moorhole Colliery
In March 2019 the boards were unveiled by Lee Greenwood – Manager of Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre & Retail Park and Roger Marsh.
